The Yard Jockey plays a crucial role in efficiently moving, organizing, and maintaining trailers within the yard to support seamless warehouse and transportation operations. This position requires skilled operation of yard trucks and tractors, ensuring safety and timeliness in all movements.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard tractors to move trailers between loading and parking areas
• Inspect trailers and equipment for safety and maintenance needs
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to minimize risk
• Manage time efficiently to support smooth yard flow
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
• Document movements and report any issues promptly

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of tractor-trailer experience
• Strong vehicle operation skills
