Are you highly detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated to keep things accurate in a fast-paced warehouse? Wilton Industries is seeking a Cycle Counter to join our distribution team in Romeoville, IL. In this role, you’ll perform daily cycle counts, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, and ensure inventory processes are followed to keep operations running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, stays focused, and communicates effectively with warehouse teams.

Ingredients
  • Perform daily cycle counts and reconciliations by location, SKU, lot, or pallet using RF/WMS systems.
  • Execute cycle counts in bulk and forward pick locations while meeting daily and weekly productivity metrics.
  • Investigate, research, and resolve inventory variances related to receipts, picks, moves, and adjustments.
  • Validate product attributes including quantity, SKU, lot/serial numbers, Ti-Hi, and expiration dates.
  • Follow all inventory control and damaged-goods processes to maintain order accuracy and product quality.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and perform counts at elevated heights as required to meet quarterly deadlines.
  • Partner with inventory, operations, receiving, and shipping teams to identify root causes and correct errors.
  • Support physical inventories, peak-season accuracy initiatives, and ongoing inventory control activities.
  • Facilitate the return of products to the DC and complete systematic adjustments including communication with Customer Service team.
  • Assist in other warehouse departments as needed to support overall distribution operations and business needs.
Equipment
  • High school diploma preferred
  • 3+ years of inventory control or cycle counting experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
  • Understanding of inventory control fundamentals, cycle counts, audits, error rectification required
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, including high-lift equipment, preferred
  • Knowledge of RF devices and scanning system required;
    Logpro, SAP, and WMS is a plus
Instructions
  • Strong mathematical and counting skills with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to research and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and identify root causes
  • Comfortable working independently while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations
  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict counting and reporting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; effective team player who collaborates with operations, inventory, and leadership
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow established procedures
  • Certified or able to become certified to operate warehouse equipment, including high-lift equipment, and work safely at elevated heights
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
Baking Conditions
  • This role requires regular movement throughout the distribution center and the ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, lift, sit, crawl, talk, hear, and communicate effectively while performing job duties for the duration of the shift.
  • May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions.
  • Work environment with varying and potentially loud noise level and subject to variable temperatures and weather.
  • The employee must be able to regularly lift and move items up to 50 pounds, and be able to use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Employee is required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment as is appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or others.
