Warehouse Forklift Material Handler

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator in Romeoville, Illinois.

Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour;
Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour shift pay.

Schedule:

A Shift – Sunday – Tuesday 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Wednesday 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products; load/unload trucks.
• Manage day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hour of production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Good attendance record and punctuality.
• High degree of initiative and accuracy under pressure.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Adherence to health & safety methods.
• Availability for flexible schedule and various work shifts.
