Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position Description – Ryder is hiring a Stand‑Up Forklift Operator in Romeoville, Illinois offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay: $23.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $0.75 per hour shift pay
• Schedule:
  
  C Shift – Wednesday 6:00 am–12:00 pm;
  Thursday – Saturday 6:00 am–6:00 pm

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle paperwork in warehouse: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• At least 1 year of related warehouse/powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• Valid Forklift Operator's License
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Team player able to work in a diverse environment
• Professional relationship building with all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance record
• Works independently with minimal supervision; initiative
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Familiar with health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
