We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Forklift Operations Lead to support our fast-paced 3PL and cross-dock operations. This role is responsible for coordinating forklift operators day-to-day, ensuring efficient workflow where speed, accuracy, and coordination are critical to meeting customer and carrier timelines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership experience, a deep understanding of forklift operations, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Key responsibilities include supervising and training team members, assigning dock doors and workload priorities, monitoring inbound and outbound of shipments, ensuring proper scanning and documentation of freight, optimizing inventory movement, and collaborating with warehouse management to meet performance goals.
Status:
Full Time, 40+ hours
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, with mandatory availability for overtime
Time: 3:30PM - 12:00AM
Starting Rate: $22.00
Responsibilities Operations Management- Oversee daily warehouse operations (receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping)
- Ensure orders and loads are processed accurately and on time
- Monitor workflow and adjust staffing or priorities as needed
- Assign tasks and provide operations support to warehouse associates
- Train new employees on procedures, safety, and equipment
- Provide coaching and feedback
- Maintain team morale and resolve conflicts
- Track inventory levels and ensure accuracy
- Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements
- Implement best practices for productivity and cost reduction
- Support warehouse management systems (WMS) usage
- Enforce workplace safety standards (OSHA guidelines in the U.S.)
- Ensure proper handling of materials and equipment
- Conduct safety audits and training sessions
- 2+ years of experience working in a 3PL Supply Chain Logistics company.
- Knowledge of WMS technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven track record in coaching, leading, and motivating teams.
- Available to attend mandatory overtime as company required.
