Fire proofer

We are a specialist passive fire protection company dedicated to ensuring safety and compliance across construction, commercial and industrial projects. Our services include intumescent coatings, fire stopping, cavity barriers and structural steel fire protection. Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit an experienced fire proofer to join our team.

The fire proofer will be responsible for the installation and application of passive fire protection systems on a range of projects, ensuring work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards, and in line with industry regulations.

• Apply fire protection systems including fire stopping, boarding and intumescent coatings
• Ensure all works are compliant with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
• Log all work on a digital reporting system (Onetrace)
• Prepare and maintain materials and equipment required for installation
• Carry out inspections and quality checks on completed works
• Carry out fire stopping surveys on buildings
• Work from drawings and specifications to deliver installations to project requirements
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

• Fire Prevention and Fire Protection skills (Previous fire stopping work)
• Valid CSCS card
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Fire Safety knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certification in fire safety or related fields is a plus (e.g. NVQ in passive jt fire protection, manufacturer training or ASFP qualifications)
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to respond to emergencies
• Full UK driving license is preferred
