PositionSummary
Customer Service Representative (CSR) works in our fast-paced warehousing department. The CSR is the frontline communication with our customers, responsible for responding to inquiries, processing orders, handling complaints, and ensuring products are handled correctly per customer requirements. Associate gains valuable experience in quality, productivity, and communication.
Job Description- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Process and input all customer orders.
- Run inventory reports to check product availability.
- Enter inbound tally documents in system and verify discrepancies.
- Generate paperwork and other necessary information for customer work orders and bill customers accordingly.
- Understand billing/rating structure.
- Coordinate special rush order requests with transportation and operations.
- Notify customers of product activity, provide shipping/receiving information to enable shipment tracing.
- Follow up with other departments to ensure service standards are met.
- Overall knowledge of computer systems and related programs.
- Verify invoices, issue credits when appropriate, and file all month‑end billing timely.
- Maintain damage records and back‑order logs; handle returned product efficiently.
- Reconcile physical inventories when requested.
- Maintain hazardous material information, MSDS maintenance.
- Prepare and provide special reports as requested by customers, operations, or management.
- Assist warehouse staff with inquiries.
- Communicate to management all pertinent information received from customers.
- Send invoices to customers.
- Maintain good working relationships with customers by responding to all inquiries and complaints regarding shipments, receipts, inventory counts, work orders, invoices, etc., courteously and efficiently.
- Report customer feedback to management, advising on any changes in customer accounts.
- Act as liaison between customer, warehouse, and management.
- Assist accounting with A/R functions such as past‑due invoices.
- Correspond with customers as required (written or verbal).
- Maintain current and accurate procedures detailing processing requirements for each account (ISO 9001:2015 audit materials).
- Oversee routine and special paperwork associated with inbounds, outbounds, OS&D, etc.
- Complete a daily time sheet with accurate time allocation per account.
- High school education required; some college beneficial.
- Three (3) years’ experience in a similar position in a warehouse environment.
- Annual seminar or training session on customer service or related topics.
- Pass pre‑employment background screening.
- Position located in Romulus, MI.
- Shift 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; must be flexible to work overtime and weekends.
