The Math Interventionist will provide targeted and evidence-based math interventions within an inclusive learning environment where each learner feels empowered to overcome math challenges.
Minimum Qualifications- Must possess and maintain proper type certification. Preferred certification in 9-12 Mathematics or math related specialist.
- Highly qualified in the state of Michigan
Math interventionists work extensively with students to help them improve specific math skills such as letter-naming, initial sounds, phoneme segmentation, and comprehension strategies. An interventionist addresses the specific needs of a particular child when regular classroom instruction is not sufficient. Interventionists work with the teacher to design methods of learning that are most appropriate for each child. Interventionists are often former or retired teachers who have been trained in conducting these intensive learning sessions.
ResponsibilitiesJob performance is evaluated in accordance with district guidelines.
