POSITION TITLE:

Boys Head Soccer Coach

Qualifications
  • Experience with School High  School Soccer Programing.
  • Must be available to perform coaching responsibilities, games and practices outside of your contractual day.(Dailycontractualhourswillnotbemodifiedtoaccommodatecoachingschedule.)
  • Soccer coaching experience preferred.
  • Soccer knowledge and playing experience.
  • Understanding of Michigan High School Athletic Associationrulesandregulations .
  • Abilitytocommunicateandworkwell withhighschool students.
  • Abilitytocommunicateandworkwellwithparents,Booster Clubandthecommunity.

Michigan Certified Teacher, preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Counsel students/athletes about scholarships andtheimportanceofgrades.
  • Expose students/athletes to surrounding colleges.
  • Monitor grades of students /athletesinthe

    Basketball program.
  • Maintainacademiceligibilitylogforstudentathleteparticipation.
  • Assistwiththeimplementationofacademicinterventionstrategiesforstudentathletesto maintain academic performance and eligibility standards.
  • Adheretoacademiceligibilityforstudentathleteparticipationingames,conference sand tournaments.
  • Meetwithparentsof Team members,priortothestartof season.
  • Buildsstrongrelationshipswithparentsandtheschoolcommunitytodevelopaculture. for academic accomplishment aligned with athletic achievement.
  • Responsibleforthepreparationandsubmittal of a yearly budget and bids to order necessary equipment.
  • Assisttrackteaminmakingdecisions,planningeventsandimplementingplans.
  • Coordinatewiththe Track Coaching Staff ,apracticescheduleandadheretothepractice schedule for the entire season.
  • Teachandcoachstudentathletesinthetechniquesandskillsneededtoensureasuccessful track program.
  • Beapositiverolemodelandmotivator.
  • Encouragestudentathletestobestudentrolemodelsinthebuilding;assist buildingin establishing Positive Behavior and Intervention Support programming.
  • Attendallmeetingsasrequiredbythe

    MHSAAandWWAC League.
  • Excellenttimemanagement,communicationandorganizationalskills.
  • Abilitytointeractpositivelywithstudents,staffandparents.
  • Skilledincollaboratingwithotherprofessionals.
  • Complywithdistrictpoliciesandprocedures(i.e.,academiceligibilityofstudentathletes,accident reporting, cash handling, travel and transportation requests, parent / assistant / volunteer approval and authorization procedures, etc.).
  • Abilitytoworkwithminimal supervision.
  • Other duties,withintheathleticdepartment,astheyrelatetothesport.
