Manufacturing Process Engineer 5
Duration: 1 year with possible extension as per client business needs

Pay range: $55–$60/hour on W2
Job Description:
Mon-Fri. Weekends 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Candidate will be expected to work Saturdays and Sundays more often than none
Off-shift support. Candidate will need to come in 30 mins before and after the shift to recap.
2nd shift 2pm-10pm
3rd shift 10:30pm-6am
Summary:
The main function of a manufacturing process engineer is to direct the development and/or improvements of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Responsibilities- Propose and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas.
- Meet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Coordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives.
- Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.
- Works closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Analyze tooling and equipment and select proper steps for solution.
- Communicate with internal and external business units.
- Support plants in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals.
- Support and implement the QS9000/ISO
14001/(Client) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes.
- Expert knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Basic knowledge of tooling processes.
- Basic knowledge of automotive industry processes.
- Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tool.
- Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills.
- Bachelors Degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience required.
