Role Summary

The Maintenance Engineer will report to the shift‑assigned Engineering Team Manager and provide first‑line response to engineering faults, conduct reactive and planned maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement projects at the state‑of‑the‑art automated Customer Fulfillment Center (CFC).

The Maintenance Engineer’s Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Include
  • React to MHE breakdowns, troubleshoot, analyze faults, and complete repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Keep accurate records of work activities, tasks, and parts used.
  • Assemble and repair sub‑assemblies following written instructions, blueprints and schematics.
  • Collaborate with other Maintenance Engineers to increase machine reliability and support operation efficiency.
  • Provide first‑line support to Operations by monitoring the Grid and Robots, escalating issues to Engineering Operations as necessary.
  • Investigate grid stoppages and resolve them, including remote connection to Robots and off‑site support escalation.
  • Monitor the status of Robots and the physical grid, investigating locked cells and overall health.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure work meets safety standards.
Who You Are
  • Minimum two years of mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
  • Associate’s or vocational degree in electrical or mechanical discipline (advanced training with three years experience preferred).
  • Experience with predictive and preventive planned maintenance, diagnosing, documenting, and repairing equipment break‑downs.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Technical ability with automation hardware and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
  • Numeracy and PC literacy (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Flexible to a shift‑based pattern, including nights and weekends.
Physical Activities
  • Ascending or descending ladders and stairs.
  • Moving between worksites in tight and confined spaces.
  • Standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 30 lbs in all directions; lifting objects up to 100 lbs or more.
Environmental Conditions
  • Low temperatures and noisy environments.
