Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as both Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). This pivotal role combines financial stewardship with operational excellence, driving the organization’s growth, sustainability, and efficiency. The successful candidate will oversee all financial activities, ensure compliance with industry regulations, develop strategic initiatives, and lead operational functions to support our mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Lead corporate accounting functions, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and other relevant regulations.
• Oversee risk management processes, including SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), regulatory reporting, and internal controls such as COSO frameworks.
• Manage treasury functions including cash flow analysis, banking relationships, liquidity management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Drive revenue management initiatives through market analysis, business development efforts, and strategic partnerships.
• Lead Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities by conducting due diligence, valuation analysis, negotiation support, and integration planning.
• Supervise financial statement analysis and interpretation to inform executive decision-making on profit & loss performance and cost control measures.
• Oversee compliance with industry-specific standards such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), Tax accounting practices, and governmental accounting requirements.
• Cultivate leadership within finance and operations teams by providing mentorship, fostering collaboration, and ensuring high-performance standards.
• Spearhead strategic planning efforts to identify growth opportunities, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance organizational resilience.

Skills

• Transportation and Logistics Knowledge is a must.
• Extensive experience in senior financial management roles with a proven track record in strategic planning and corporate finance leadership.
• Deep understanding of financial concepts including financial statement analysis, forecasting analysis, risk analysis, and cost management.
• Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel modeling for developing financial projection models.
• Strong knowledge of industry regulations such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards; experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition; familiarity with SOX compliance frameworks like COSO.
• Expertise in mergers & acquisitions processes including due diligence, valuation techniques, negotiation strategies, and integration management.
• Exceptional analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial reports clearly for diverse audiences.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with business development acumen to foster growth opportunities through fundraising or strategic alliances.
• Leadership qualities that inspire teams; experience supervising finance departments or cross-functional operational teams in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to manage risk effectively through comprehensive risk management strategies; experience with governmental accounting or nonprofit accounting is a plus.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities paired with a results-driven mindset focused on fiscal responsibility and sustainable growth.
