The Role
As an IT Support Associate II, you will use your skills to support the operations team in resolving technical problems within an Amazon Operations facility that span across a multitude of technical disciplines. Responsibilities- Allocate, maintain, and troubleshoot IT equipment used in Amazon Operations facilities.
- Handle support requests and procedures across the network.
- Assist in training new hires.
- Continuously learn new technologies.
- Support customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
- Move up to 49 lbs and stand, walk, and perform other physical tasks during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
Support technicians dedicate approximately 80% of their time to troubleshooting and repairing end‑user hardware within our fulfillment centers, ensuring continuous station uptime and operational efficiency. The remaining 20% involves executing projects and managing change controls to maintain or improve our infrastructure. This position is located on the warehouse floor in an industrial environment characterized by elevated noise levels, dust exposure, and variable temperature conditions throughout the year.
Personal Protective Equipment is required for most tasks due to environmental hazards. This is an operational IT support role within a fulfillment center, not a traditional office‑based IT position.
- Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
- Can lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- 1+ years of Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems support experience or equivalent experience.
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry‑relevant certifications.
