The Phillip Charles Group has been servicing the local metro Detroit area for the past 30 years and has built incredibly strong partnerships with our clients, candidates and employees. We have worked with our current client for the past 14 years and they are looking for a strong Office Operations Manager for a Contract to Hire opportunity based out of their Romulus, Mi.

We are seeking a highly organized individual with exceptional data entry and time management skills. Experience in shipping, receiving, purchasing, or inventory management is considered a significant advantage.

Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 annually ($24 – $25 per hour)

Office Operations Manager with expertise in traffic and inventory control overseeing daily operations. Core Responsibilities
  • Optimizes supply chains, manages shipments, and maintains accurate stock records.
  • Reconciles inventory, coordinates vendor relationships, improves logistics efficiency, and implements safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Control: manages inventory using software, conducts cycle counts, and performs audits to ensure accuracy and reduce excess inventory in collaboration with sales teams.
  • Traffic/Logistics Management: oversees shipments and coordinates with vendors for warehouse management.
  • Office Operations: supervises administrative staff, manages office supplies, and handles procurement processes.
  • Compliance & Safety: inspects facilities for compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Key Requirements & Skills
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory control.
  • Proficient in inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and database management.
  • Strong analytical abilities to analyze data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Leadership skills with organizational capabilities to train and manage staff.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required;
    Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred.
  • Additional business-related education or specialized training is desirable.
  • 1 to 3 years of office management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of word processing and Excel, as well as business-related operations software, is preferred.
