Overview

Do you enjoy working outdoors in a fast‑paced, safety‑obsessed aviation environment? As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of all departments within your station. You will manage the station budget and provide leadership for all management staff.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all station operations, including ramp, cabin cleaning services, GSE maintenance, and customer service.
  • Manage the station’s budgetary and financial responsibilities and ensure accurate billing is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Direct managers and support staff, oversee scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for all operations.
  • Maintain working relationships with customers and provide prompt responses to service requests.
  • Assist the recruiting team with hiring and oversee on‑the‑job training and ongoing professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Observe and enforce all AGI and airline safety regulations as well as company policies.
  • Actively pursue future business opportunities.
Safety, Security and Compliance

All AGI team members have a responsibility and duty while at work to take reasonable care for the health, wellbeing, safety, and security of themselves and others. They must cooperate with managers, comply with legal requirements, avoid reckless interference with company assets, report hazards or incidents, and attend required training. They should fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies and comply with all procedures.

Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 70lb (32kg) or more and repetitively lift 40–50lb on raised surfaces.
  • Carry heavy items up and down narrow jetway stairs.
  • Walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
  • Work in cramped or elevated spaces.
  • Respond to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment to communicate with crew and authorities.
  • Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Good communication skills, including verbal and radio instruction to flight crew, gate agents, and ground crew.
  • Customer service skills: professional, courteous communication while resolving customer concerns.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations, standard security program, OSHA regulations, and GSE maintenance procedures.
  • Computer skills: track process completion, manage budgets, and produce reports.
  • Problem‑solving skills: troubleshoot issues during irregular flight operations.
  • Time‑management skills: manage own time and lead teams to complete tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Five years of progressive management experience in aviation, including customer service and ground handling for wide‑body and narrow‑body aircraft.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or a relevant combination of business experience and education.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Authorization to work in the United States, or in Canada as required.
  • Completed ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
  • Ability to secure a Customs Seal when required by customer or role access.

  • One or more years of relevant experience.
