Production Supervisor US - 1st Shift

The Production Supervisor oversees day‑to‑day production operations and staff to ensure timely and efficient workflow. This role ensures productivity targets, health, quality, and food safety standards meet company expectations. The Production Supervisor leads a team, manages employee issues, provides training, and monitors performance.

• Provide guidance to line leaders and the production workforce on performance management, employee relations, business context, profitability and staff training/development.
• Ensure delivery of production goals and objectives by establishing clear quality methods.
• Support the Production Manager to keep the operation within budget for labor and throughput; monitor and measure performance to minimize downtime, reduce costs and improve quality and efficiencies.
• Complete required documentation, records and checklist; submit to appropriate management personnel.
• Communicate and address variances, quality issues and concerns with relevant departments to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor the working environment to ensure compliance with company and statutory hygiene and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information and personnel data.
• Conduct pre‑shift meetings and end‑of‑shift reports.
• Touch base with new employees weekly.
• Collaborate with Commodity, Inventory, Receiving, Shipping and Quality departments to ensure efficient workflow and product specifications are met.
• Other core expectations as defined by the company.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a production environment or related supervisory experience required.
• Intermediate level Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills required.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP principles.
• Understanding of legislative requirements to maintain compliance to all relevant statutes and guiding principles.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent analytical, time‑management and organizational skills.

• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment.
• Must be flexible to shift assignments as required to meet customer and business needs.
• Hours may vary; role requires flexibility.
• Operates within a refrigerated warehouse with temperatures 45‑55°F; noise level can be loud due to packaging machinery and forklift operation.
• Employee frequently required to stand, walk, bend, twist, use hands to handle or feel product or packaging, and reach with hands and arms; specific vision capabilities required.
• Position involves walking and lifting regularly up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
