Job Description

Welder in Romulus, MI at Southpointe Radiator.

• Measuring, cutting, assembling, and welding of 3003 aluminum and 304 tubular stainless steel
• Operating equipment including but not limited to: saws, drills, grinders/buffers, plasma cutters, MIG welder torches, forklifts, pallet jacks
• Reading and interpreting team leader instructions and written orders
• Repair customer equipment as required using the equipment previously listed
• Meeting/exceeding customer requirements for production and quality
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure the proper function and performance of fabricated parts
• Notify the supervisor when the item is complete and ready for inspection
• Packaging/labeling items according to production guidelines
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Welding aluminum and steel using a TIG welder

• To be successful in this role, a related technical degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
• Operation of shop fabrication equipment is required: brake, shear, punch, roll, drill, saw, buff, end form and ability to read print.
• Candidate MUST have experience welding in both TIG and MIG.
• Be able to estimate the duration of jobs.
• Machinist experience is a plus; experience with Mill/Horizontal and lathe CNC machines is a huge plus.

Sunrise 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM + 2 Saturdays a month 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
