As a member of a sales team, the sales development rep is responsible for prospecting net new business within a defined geographic territory in the small and medium market. They find and vet new business opportunities and develop value propositions.
Essential Functions- Targets new business opportunities by identifying potential new customers and growing revenue, conducting background research, discussing the customer’s supply chain with decision makers and other relevant customer representatives, and analyzing customer needs.
- Utilizes Suggested Calls and other data‑driven reporting to identify customer growth opportunities via call cycling and customer visits.
- Maintains regular and consistent communication with manager and peers within the Sales organization regarding joint sales call opportunities to support new and incremental revenue.
- Maintains a healthy pipeline of new leads, completes successful calls on those leads, and schedules opportunity handoff calls.
- Navigates internal, cross‑functional processes to coordinate and collaborate on support and solutions with internal teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
- Collaborates with sales peers, marketing, finance, operations, and other areas as appropriate to identify issues and develop and implement solutions to support revenue growth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must meet one of the following:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; four (4) years of business‑to‑business sales experience; or one (1) year of the Company’s business‑to‑business sales experience.

This customer‑facing role requires regular in‑person meetings. Candidates must live within a 50‑mile radius of Detroit, MI, Flint, MI, Saginaw, MI, or surrounding cities within the territory.
