We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Pro Truss and Panel, LLC. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing inspections and completing preventive maintenance schedules on semi‑trucks and equipment.
Job Duties- Perform inspections on semi‑trucks and equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance schedules
- Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical troubleshooting, steering and cooling systems
- Perform truck and trailer annual inspections
- Perform repairs such as wiring, lighting, brakes, suspension, and others
- Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
- Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
- Keep shop equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
- Keep supplies and parts ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt
- Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Build positive relationships with truck drivers and vendor contacts
- Must have 1 year of heavy truck repair experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Driver’s License
- Clean Driving Record
- Skilled in welding
