Open Position:Dock & Door Service Technician
Full‑time, starting at $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
, based on experience. Drive a company van and use the provided uniform. Work primarily at customer sites, diagnosing and repairing dock levelers, overhead doors, hydraulic systems, and related equipment.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in dock levelers and overhead doors.
- Perform routine maintenance: greasing, adjustments, inspections, and other field service tasks.
- Use ladders, scissor lifts, extension ladders, and power tools safely.
- Log service notes and parts used on company iPads.
- Provide high‑quality customer service, communicate clearly with customers and the sales team, and obtain job approvals.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation; local travel required; occasional evening or weekend work.
- Identify additional repair or replacement opportunities.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, welding, or hydraulic service.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and basic math.
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- Time‑management, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work in wet or humid environments and extreme temperatures.
- Occasional evening or weekend work; must stay on feet during entire shift.
