Shape the Ramp, Keep Aircraft Moving Imagine stepping onto the airfield before sunrise. You run quick diagnostics on a tug, top off a belt loader’s fluids, test a pushback’s brakes, and clear a conveyor’s hydraulic issue before the first departure. As our Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician, that’s your craft—keeping the operation safe, reliable, and on time.
What you’ll work on Motorized and non‑motorized GSE: tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, trucks, bag carts, and more Complete fueling and fluid service: fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air Document work: log equipment numbers and describe required/completed repairs
Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair or modify: engines and transmissions; electrical systems; brakes; hydraulic and pneumatic systems on mobile lifts and conveyor systems; bumpers and body panels; bag cart curtains and curtain rods; towing hitches and bars; undercarriages, wheels, and tires
Overhaul/replace components: bushings, shafts, end plates, springs, coils, armatures, push rods, valves, manifolds, tubing, hoses, and wiring
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using OEM manuals and test equipment; repair to manufacturer and industry standards
Remove, test, repair, or replace items like carburetors, governors, air/oil cleaners, ignition points, and sensors
Set tolerances and adjust: valves, bearings, cams, clutches, and drive shafts
Operate and test units to validate performance and safety
Complete paperwork accurately and track parts usage
Champion safety procedures and Prime Flight service standards
Pitch in with additional duties as assigned
What you bring3+ years of verified hands-on GSE/heavy equipment/automotive or diesel repair experience
Personal tool set and toolbox; readiness to use both mechanic’s tools and electronic diagnostics
Valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Reliable attendance and the flexibility to support a 24/7 airline environment (nights, weekends, holidays)
Fluency in English for reading, writing, and speaking on the job Comfort navigating manuals and digital systems (iPad/tablet, computer, and mobile devices)
Strong collaboration and customer-service mindset with colleagues and clients
Ability to obtain required airport credentials/clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal as applicable)

Lift up to 70 lbs Stand and walk for extended periods in indoor and outdoor conditions
Reach and grasp; push and pull as needed for repairs and testing

Climb and perform work at elevated heights
Work around moderate to high noise, biohazards/chemicals, and outdoor elements
Hear spoken instructions and audible alarms
Perform repetitive motions of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
