Fleet Mechanic (Diesel, Trucking) Job Description
- Create and adhere to the preventative maintenance schedule
- Perform Truck and Trailer Annual Inspections
- Perform minor repairs such as wiring, lighting, and tire replacement
- Perform repairs found by drivers on inspection reports, as problems reported during the preventative maintenance inspection
- Perform repairs such as brakes replacement, suspension repair, and other repairs
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Receive parts on inventory shipments and maintain inventory
- Communicate equipment status with the operations team
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Winter there is a Heated Garage
- MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS
- 1 – 3 years of Automotive or Heavy Truck repair experience
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) Regulations
