Transport Driver

Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) is hiring a professional light products transport driver in Romulus, MI. This full‑time, local position requires safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products to regional terminals, refineries, and other locations under local fleet management supervision.

• Hourly wage: $33.01 – $34.89

• Active ClassA Commercial Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record
• Consent for company review of driving record and FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse records
• Interstate driving ability
• Operating manual and/or automatic transmission
• Hazardous Materials and Tank Vehicle endorsements (required)
• Ability to work up to a 12‑hour AM/PM shift and beyond schedule

• Perform pre‑trip inspection of equipment in compliance with MPC policy and DOT regulations.
• Check tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer for general operating requirements; note deficiencies on the pre‑trip inspection form.
• Drive a tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to transport product safely, efficiently, and professionally.
• Obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws and site‑specific SOPs for loading and offloading.
• Perform post‑trip inspection in alignment with MPC policy and DOT regulations.
• Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork.
• Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift.
• Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, according to company procedures.
• Report all equipment issues in a timely manner.
• Follow and maintain all safety rules and operating procedures, including DOT regulations.

• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Work on elevated spaces up to 30+feet on graded elevation.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50–65lbs.
• Sit for extended periods.
• Grip a steering wheel for extended periods.

• Maintain a satisfactory driving record (consent to review).
• Pass required drug and alcohol screening(s).
• Complete DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.
• Pass a three‑year DOT safety background check and a seven‑year criminal background check.
• Pass a pre‑trip exam and road test to demonstrate proficiency operating required equipment.
