Transport Driver

We have a full‑time local position for a professional light products transport driver in Romulus, MI. The driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products to regional terminals, refineries, and other locations, following MPL and DOT policies under local fleet supervision.

• Hourly Range: $33.01 - $34.89
• Health/Dental/Vision coverage available day 1

• Active Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Satisfactory driving record; consent for company review of driving record(s)
• Registration with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse; consent for company review
• Capability to drive interstate

• Operate manual and/or automatic transmission
• Active CDL endorsements:
  Hazardous Materials and Tank Vehicle (Required)

• Work up to a 12‑hour AM/PM shift
• Availability for hours beyond scheduled shifts

• Perform pre‑trip inspection per MPC policy and DOT regulations; document results
• Drive tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to transport product safely and efficiently; obey federal, state, and local laws
• Follow MPC and site‑specific SOPs for loading and offloading
• Perform post‑trip inspection per MPC policy and DOT regulations; complete required paperwork
• Communicate all incidents, safety and environmental concerns, per company procedures
• Report equipment issues promptly
• Follow all safety rules and operating procedures, including DOT regulations

• Work outside in all weather conditions
• Work at elevations of 30+ feet on graded surfaces
• Lift, carry, push, or pull 50‑65 lbs frequently
• Sit for extended periods
• Grip steering wheel for extended periods

• Satisfactory driving record; consent for company review
• Pass required drug and alcohol screening(s)
• Complete DOT physical and maintain current medical card
• Pass three‑year DOT safety background check and seven‑year criminal background check
• Pass pre‑trip exam and road test for required equipment proficiency
