Electrical Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer
This company is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in analog and mixed signal circuit design, motion control, and power electronics for an onsite role in Long Island, NY. Level will be determined based on the candidate's experience and technical expertise, with a well established, growing product line across multiple customers.
Schedule:
Full time, onsite in Long Island, NY.
Compensation: $100,000 to $170,000 per year, based on experience level.
What You'll DoThis engineer designs, develops, analyzes, and verifies analog and mixed signal and motion control hardware, and participates in all phases of product development from requirements through design, verification, and production support. The role includes circuit simulation, testing, troubleshooting, and design optimization, and involves collaborating with cross functional engineering teams to deliver high quality designs on schedule. This person supports existing products while contributing to new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
At the senior level, this engineer also provides technical leadership, mentors junior engineers, and supports project planning and technical decision making.
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience for Engineer level, or 7+ years of experience for Senior Engineer level
- Strong background in analog and mixed signal circuit design, including A/D and D/A converters, signal conditioning, amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and control circuits
- Experience with power electronics, including DC/DC converters, inverters, and motor drive circuits using MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, or GaN technologies
- Knowledge of motion control systems, including BLDC motor control, feedback sensors (LVDT, resolvers, encoders), and control theory
- U.S. Person status or the ability to qualify for applicable U.S. export authorization
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering (for Senior Engineer level candidates)
- Experience with analog/mixed signal ASIC design and simulation tools
- Proficiency with circuit design software such as LTspice, PSpice, OrCAD, or Allegro
- Familiarity with thermal, EMI, reliability, and worst-case design analysis
Compensation and Benefits: $100,000 to $170,000 per year, based on experience level. Full benefits package.
