DPP is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.

Work Location:

Onsite in Ronkonkoma, NY

Duration: 8 months

Shift: 7:30AM-4:00PM or 5:00PM

Terms:

W2 Contract

Work Authorization: US Citizen

• Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
• Typically perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
• Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

• Minimum 10 years' experience in aerospace industry or related field.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work on and around high pressure and combustible gases.
• Must have ability to operate small hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and safely.
• Ability to work with mechanical devices.
• Ability to work well with others and be part of the team.
• Ability to follow instructions and describe work performed.
• Knowledge of soldering, welding, and brazing techniques a plus.
• Ability to operate in a dynamic work environment (i.e. come in early, stay late, offset lunch / break when required).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
