Job Description

A well-established IT parts distribution company is seeking a motivated Sales & Customer Engagement Coordinator to join their team during a transitional growth phase. This permanent, full-time role is primarily office-based, with approximately 95% of time spent in the office and occasional client visits during the initial 6–9 months. After this transitional phase, the role will involve around 40% office time and 60% client visits to support relationship-building and business development.

This dynamic role blends internal sales support with client-facing engagement and is ideal for a positive, adaptable individual who thrives on variety, enjoys building relationships, and wants to contribute to a company transforming the IT parts industry.

Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming sales requests via email and telephone with accuracy and speed.
  • Follow up on quotes and convert opportunities into sales.
  • Visit existing customers to build relationships, upsell, and cross-sell as the business evolves.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in every interaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding customer needs and offering appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and send professional quotes and invoices.
  • Process sales documentation accurately and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Track leads, opportunities, and customer engagement using CRM tools (experience advantageous).
  • Use SAP (or other ERP systems) to manage orders, stock, and invoicing (experience advantageous).
  • Ensure no opportunity slips through the cracks by tracking follow-ups and handling customer queries efficiently.
Performance & Target-Driven Activities
  • Achieve sales targets and actively seek opportunities to grow customer accounts.
  • Support a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sales, customer engagement, or related administrative sales support; IT sector experience is advantageous.
  • Own car and valid driver’s license essential to facilitate client visits.
  • Positive, optimistic, and adaptable; able to thrive in a transitional, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable balancing internal administrative tasks with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to sustain conversations and ask insightful questions.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
