Join our team as a Carpenter where you will work directly with the owner on new build residential trim projects. This role involves executing basic finish carpentry and trim work in the Rockford area, within a 25-mile radius. Every day brings a new challenge as you move from job to job, some lasting 2-3 days. Your tasks will include cutting and hanging trim, as well as maintaining a clean work area.

Perform finish carpentry and trim work on new residential builds.

Drive to various job sites within a 25-mile radius of Rockford.

Cut and hang trim accurately and efficiently.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Utilize ladders and other equipment safely throughout the day.

At least one year of basic construction experience.

Ability to read a tape measure and lift up to 50 lbs.

Physical capability to perform demanding tasks.

Willingness to learn and operate saws and other tools.

Possess a basic tool set including a utility knife, tape measure, and screwdriver set.

Experience with finish carpentry or trim work.

Skills in drywall, door installation, rough carpentry, and general installation work.

This role offers a long-term opportunity to gain practical experience in the carpentry field. It's perfect for someone new to the industry as the team is open to teaching and flexible in their approach.

Work hours are typically from 7 AM to approximately 3:30 PM, though they may vary based on workload. You will primarily work indoors in new residential homes, providing some protection from the elements, though there is no air conditioning or heating.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roscoe, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
