Position: Part-Time Faculty: Visual Arts/Studio Art Instructor (Pool)

VISUAL ARTS/STUDIO ART INSTRUCTOR (POOL)

Faculty Part‑Time

The position of Visual Arts/Studio Art Instructor is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, on‑going basis.

As a Part‑Time Visual Arts/Studio Art Instructor, you will teach first‑ and second‑year college‑level visual art classes in one or more of the following areas: 2D and 3D Basic Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Figure Drawing, and Oil/Acrylic Painting.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    MA or MFA in Visual Art, or MA/MFA in specific visual art media (Ceramics, Drawing, Painting).
  • Experience:

    Teaching experience required; visual art teaching experience at the college level preferred.
  • Specific

    Skills:

    Demonstrated experience in the specific media being taught; maintenance of a personal studio practice.
  • Specialized Knowledge:
    Ceramics instructors must be able to formulate glazes and operate/maintain kilns.
