Faculty Part-Time
The position of Sociology/Social Science Instructor is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as needed, ongoing basis.

As the Part-Time Sociology/Social Science Instructor
, you will be primarily responsible for teaching sociology classes for college transfer courses. In-person, evening, or offsite classes may be part of the assignment. The faculty members of Umpqua Community College are committed to facilitating learning using the most up to date pedagogy, technology, and discipline specific knowledge. All faculty are responsible for teaching in all modalities and keeping current in new modalities that develop in higher education.

Required Qualifications:
- Passion for student success
- Innovative thinker and problem solver
- Master’s degree or higher in Sociology
- Experience teaching in the classroom
- Experience teaching online
- Demonstrated ability to interact and effectively communicate with people
Preferred (Not Required)
Qualifications:
- Community College classroom teaching experience
- Dual credit teaching experience at the high school level
- Skill in curriculum development and course revision
