SUCCESS CENTER NON-STUDENT TUTOR (POOL)

Success Center Non‑Student Tutor is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as‑needed, ongoing basis. This role is for an organized, innovative self‑starter who is motivated, positive, and committed to helping others. As a Classified Part‑Time Success Center Non‑Student Tutor, you will be responsible for tutoring individuals and/or small groups who request help in specific academic work. Peer tutors will assist in building up student skills to encourage successful lifelong learning.

QualificationsRequired
- Significant knowledge in the subject matter to be tutored.
- Proof of classes taken (degree, transcripts, or report cards) or experience teaching or working in the subject area.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
- Promote a positive, safe, friendly environment among students and staff of diverse cultures and educational levels.
- Previous tutoring experience.

- Member Copy 4 of the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (DD Form 214 or 215)
- Letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans’ Affairs indicating receipt of a non‑service connected pension.
