AUTOMOTIVE INSTRUCTOR (POOL)
The position of Automotive Instructor is a pooled position and applications will be reviewed on an as-needed, ongoing basis.
As a part-time Automotive Instructor, you will be committed to facilitating learning using the most up-to-date pedagogy, technology, and discipline-specific knowledge. All faculty are responsible for teaching in all modalities and keeping current in new modalities that develop in higher education. Although facilitating learning is the most important role of the faculty, the needs of learners are also served when faculty are engaged in service to the college and student support activities.
Required Qualifications- Commensurate with State of Oregon requirements of respective academic and/or technical field:
For CTE faculty, this includes the following: - Associate degree or the equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience
- Current ASE certification in areas of instruction
- Ability to become certified in certification areas infused into the program (nc3, Snap-on, Toyota, Chrysler, and Subaru)
- A minimum of 5 years community college teaching experience
- A minimum of five years of verifiable experience related to the field
- Online instruction experience preferred, classroom teaching experience desirable
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred for CTE faculty
