Dual Credit Pathways Navigator Full-Time
Umpqua Community College and the Roseburg School District are partnering to hire an enthusiastic and energetic candidate to serve as the Dual Credit Pathways Navigator under the UCC Office of Early College. This is an outcomes-based position that will work closely in a collaborative team environment with Roseburg School District and Umpqua Community College to serve the programming and students at Roseburg High School.
This shared position will be responsible for ensuring every student at Roseburg School District has the opportunity to begin their college career while in high school in high wage/high-skill fields and on a clear pathway to success. The successful candidate must be able to work on multiple teams, translate between the college and the high school system and must love students and the exciting work that the college and the school district have embarked upon.
This position will work collaboratively to create vertical integration between the K-12 and college systems so that all students in Roseburg School District can smoothly access the post-secondary training and education that they need to become a self-supporting adult and community contributor.
Major Areas Of Responsibility Under the direction of the Early College Executive Director:
- Support the smooth operations of the RSD/UCC Dual Credit and pathways programs.
- Support the successful launch of medical careers programming on the UCC campus for healthcare bound high school students from RSD.
- Promote the opportunities in these programs to students, families, and stakeholders throughout the community.
- Ensure program information distribution, enrollment, registration, and student support is robust and streamlined.
- Ensure UCC/RSD faculty collaborations receive support and meet the requirements of the State of Oregon.
- Care for the important relationship between both institutions and ensure strong communication and problem solving between both institutions.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Support illuminated pathways for area middle/high school students to access relevant and affordable education/job skills.
- Register students in the program and handle day-to-day needs of students in collaboration with staff of UCC and RSD.
- Promote the opportunities available for students in RSD/UCC pathways.
- Advise students on necessary classes needed to complete pathways, degrees and certificates.
- Work with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations of the healthcare high school on the UCC campus and all programming located in Roseburg high school.
- Facilitate and communicate clearly to ensure seamless transitions for students with student services, academic faculty, and area partners.
- Implement assigned projects and coordinate project activities with appropriate staff and project partners.
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, current, and future partners to determine project needs and provide structure to ongoing academic partnership projects.
- Collect, analyze, and report data to monitor project outcomes; generate and present reports using standard formats and graphical summaries.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities with ongoing projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, business, Human Services or a similar field of study.
- Experience working in a high school and/or community college educational environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong evidence of working on a collaborative team.
- Strong evidence of excellent communication skills.
- Some travel will be required including professional meetings. Occasional evening or weekend work.
- Valid driver's license and maintain eligibility for coverage under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years' experience working in higher education.
- Three or more years' experience in high school education.
- Experience working with faculty and in coordinating major projects.
