POSITION PURPOSE

The Human Resource Business Partner II serves as a strategic partner to departmental leaders and managers, aligning business objectives with employees and HR initiatives. The HRPB II acts as an advisor and liaison on human resource-related issues, including ; leaves, benefits administration, talent acquisition, performance management, policy development, compliance and general HR services that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive HR strategy and solutions within a dynamic, evolving environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with departments to understand strategic goals and translate them into HR initiatives that support growth and employee engagement.
  • Administers employee benefits, reviewing carrier contracts, SPD’s and implementing through open enrollment and throughout the year.
  • Acts as a liaison to benefit carriers and employees for full suite of employee benefits.
  • Administers leave throughout multiple states, including state and federal plans, understanding rules and regulations amongst a variety of situations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to managers and employees on HR policies, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Facilitate talent acquisition as requested, collaborating with departmental hiring managers to ensure workforce planning and talent needs are met.
  • Serve on or chair committees related to employee engagement, safety, learning and development as required.
  • Guide and assist department managers with the performance review processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
  • Development of policy and sop that support HR initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, assisting with thorough investigations and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Partner with HR specialists in areas such as compensation, benefits, learning & development, and DEI to implement enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives, helping to ensure successful adoption and communication of organizational changes as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Champion a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the business unit.
  • Comply with organization’s internal policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, Compliance Plan, along with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR preferred and may be required within 2 years of hire.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 1 year in a generalist, HRBP or advisory role preferred.
  • Proven experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs ( eg. Medicare/Medicaid)
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies and best practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
