Position: Student Worker: HelpDesk Support Specialist (Pool)

Help Desk Support Specialist (Pool) Student Worker

The Help Desk Support Specialist is a pooled position and will be reviewed on an as‑needed, ongoing basis. Applicants will be considered on a rolling basis. If you are organized, innovative, a self‑starter, motivated, positive, and have a strong desire to help others, this position is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Provide front‑end support to faculty, staff, and students by receiving and prioritizing issues related to software, hardware, and the campus network.
  • Resolve first‑line issues and create/assign tickets.
  • Perform service assessment callbacks when tickets are closed.
  • Diagnose user questions/problems and guide users through step‑by‑step solutions.
  • Communicate technical solutions in a user‑friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide one‑on‑one end‑user training as needed.
  • Assist Computer Technicians and pass complex problems to them.
  • Provide clerical assistance to the Director of Information Technology as required.
Qualifications
  • Current UCC student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
  • Basic knowledge of Information Technology or interest in the subject.
