Filler Operator

Pay Range: $24.97 - $27.74/hr
Summary:
To operate and maintain multiple machines that produce, fill, seal, wrap, stack, and freeze Ice Cream. Also, clean and sanitize equipment that was used during production. Maintain an efficient work environment, promote teamwork, and ensure we produce the highest quality dairy products available in the marketplace.
Food Safety:
This position has shared responsibilities in maintaining the company's SQF food safety and food quality system, complying with any applicable food regulations, and striving for continuous improvement in all areas.
Safety:
It is expected that this position will participate in the company's safety program and play a role creating a safe working environment for everyone.
Essential Functions:
- Consult recipe, and flavor Ice Cream as needed
- Operate, adjust, and maintain 3 Hoyer KF 3000 freezers, Hoyer 4000 automatic ingredient feeder, positive displacement revel pump, inline 1.75 carton filler, Safeline metal detector, Arpac 1.75 wrapper, Hardening system (quick freeze), Huhtamaki Convocan 1.75 forming machine, 3 gallon forming machine, 1.75 lidding machine
- Hand fill 3 gallon containers with Ice Cream
- Hand fill pint containers with Ice Cream
- Take out trash as needed
- Assemble pipes, and pumps in different configurations depending on needs
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Disassemble pipes, pumps, and equipment used during production
- Clean, and sanitize pipes, pumps, and equipment used during production
- Assemble pipes, pumps, and equipment for production
- Complete any P.M.'s
- Maintain accurate documentation with legible handwriting
- Stack and wrap Ice cream as needed
- Adjust start and end times as needed
- Assist in any areas of the plant as directed by your supervisor
- Weekly clean Drains and Floors, all Conveyors, Plexiglass on Filler, and outside of all piping
- Sanitize Phil's Cooler
- Weekly replace Bander Air Filter, foam conveyors, refill foot foamers
- Foam Conveyors and Floor
- Sweep and Mop Powder Warehouse, Remove Pallets and Sweep Dock
- Replace C.O.P. Socks
- Monthly clean Wrapper, Oven, Ceiling and Lights and Plastic Curtains
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work at a brisk pace
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, and holidays
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good math skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be responsible and reliable
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to quickly adjust schedule based on current conditions.

High School or better.
