Working HoursEmployee works 10‑hour shifts, with three 10‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.
SchedulePlaner – Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM;
Thursday 5:30 AM–4:30 PM.
Planer Swing – Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday 5:30 PM–4:00 AM;
Wednesday 6:30 PM–5:00 AM.
Sawmill – Monday/Wednesday/Friday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM;
Thursday 5:00 AM–3:30 PM.
Sawmill Swing – Monday/Wednesday/Friday 5:30 PM–4:00 AM;
Thursday 6:30 PM–5:00 AM.
The Mentor Trainee is trained in entry‑level positions to prepare for production roles. Mentors are assigned a shift and department and learn jobs as needed, with opportunities for cross‑training.
Essential FunctionsFunctions vary by placement. Examples include Sticker Operator, Bander/Endwax, Paperwrap, Stacker 2, Sawmill Sorter, Help and Dispatch. The worker may rotate to support production.
Non‑Essential FunctionsOther duties as assigned, including production support and cleaning.
Working EnvironmentInside: 90 % of the time; temperature 80 °F average, extremes 10 °F–120 °F. Outside: 10 %. Noise/vibration from machines and forklifts. Requires standing on a wooden platform with rubber mats, moving on an elevated conveyor 3 ½–4 ft above ground.

Constant use of hearing and vision; frequent bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, reaching, and occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling more than 50 lb.
SkillsExcellent hand‑eye coordination; continuous vision/hearing; peripheral vision to see forklifts; reading and speaking for safety training; able to self‑direct and prioritize tasks.
Safety- Perform only maintenance you are trained to do.
- Follow 14‑step lockout/tagout before maintenance or clearing jams.
- Use proper body mechanics.
- Wear required PPE.
- Communicate with co‑workers, especially forklift drivers.
- Read and write for safety training.
