As a Journey Industrial Electrician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing the electrical systems of the Dillard, OR lumber mill. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations, repairs, and preventative maintenance of critical equipment, supporting the company's commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

What You'll Do:

• Perform highly skilled electrical maintenance tasks, including installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical machinery and systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatic systems, hydraulic machinery, conveyors, packaging systems, instrumentation, and PLC controls.
• Analyze equipment failures to determine root causes during downtime and execute effective repairs to restore operational efficiency.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and uphold strict safety standards to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices and keep detailed records of maintenance activities using digital tools.
• Work independently or collaboratively within a team while modeling company core values and safety compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring operational excellence across the plant.

What You'll Bring:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of four years of stable industrial maintenance experience or equivalent technical/vocational training.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime, weekends, on-call, rotating shifts, and holidays.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, reading electrical schematics, and troubleshooting with test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and megohmmeters.
• Ability to operate computers for record-keeping, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Physical ability to work in extreme temperatures, climb ladders and catwalks, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of DC and AC motors, motor controls, drives (VFD, servo), power distribution, process instrumentation, PLC controls, HMIs, and industrial networking.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems, mechanical systems, and electrical safety regulations including NEC and NFPA
  70E (LOTO and Arc Flash).
• Personal commitment to safety and quality, with a focus on continuous learning and professional growth.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

• Experience with Rockwell Software RSLogix
  5000 and Factory Talk View Studio, Allen-Bradley Power Flex VFDs, Kinetics Servos, and Ethernet IP networking.
• Knowledge of fire alarm and safety protection systems.
• Experience working with pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and automation systems.
• Strong root cause analysis skills and familiarity with Precision Maintenance techniques.
