Description

Comfort Flow Heating is looking for a skilled and dependable Commercial Service Technician to join our Roseburg team.

Position Overview

The Commercial Service Technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems for commercial customers. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heating and cooling equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Travel to customer job sites throughout the service area and work closely with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and consistently strive to exceed customer expectations.
  • Clearly explain equipment issues, recommended solutions, and completed repairs to customers.
  • Identify necessary replacement parts and materials and ensure repairs are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • Maintain company vehicles in clean, safe, and good working condition and promptly report mechanical issues.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of parts, tools, equipment, and safety supplies in the company vehicle.
  • Participate in company-provided training, seminars, and classes to stay current with industry technology and best practices.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for additional services, including system upgrades, maintenance agreements, and other products or services.
  • Accurately complete paperwork, timecards, labor hours, materials, and customer charges.
  • Work to minimize warranty callbacks resulting from workmanship or inaccurate diagnosis.
  • Generate quality sales leads and opportunities for maintenance agreements and equipment sales.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, customer homes, job sites, and company vehicles.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Arrive to work on time, prepared to perform assigned duties with proper tools and attire.
  • Maintain effective and professional communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum High School diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 5 + years' experience troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing diverse HVAC issues
  • Has strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in HVAC systems.
  • Is comfortable working on commercial equipment.
  • Has a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical HVAC components.
  • Provides professional, courteous, and solutions-oriented customer service.
  • Communicates clearly with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers.
  • Is dependable, punctual, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Takes pride in accurate, high-quality workmanship.
  • Is committed to safety and consistent use of PPE.
  • Maintains a clean, organized vehicle and job site.
  • Is willing to continue developing their skills through training and industry education.
  • Has a customer-focused mindset and the ability to identify legitimate opportunities for additional services.
  • Valid driver license and clean driving record, insurable by company insurance
  • Ability to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside in a wide range of temperatures
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to further develop skills through training seminars and classes
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Possess or have the ability to acquire Low Voltage Energy License
  • Possess or have the ability to acquire EPA certification
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Basic written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with high attention to detail
