This position is bilingual and requires duties to be done in both English and Spanish. Job offer will be contingent upon passing tests evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position. Bilingual differential pay is 5% of the employee's base pay. Summary

of Duties
  • Provide person-centered, strength-based practice to assist families transitioning into a state of independence through collaboration and partnership within the agency and the community.
  • Engage families in a variety of ways, including individual and family assessment, identification of attainable goals that facilitate a glide path off state assistance, identification of individual and family strengths, collaboration with other state agencies, and collaboration with community organizations and resources.
  • Determine eligibility for programs as necessary.
  • Negotiate coaching plans with adults in the home, utilizing the continuum of Jobs activities, supporting both the adults' needs and the family's needs.
  • Evaluate employability readiness, provide meaningful provider referrals, promote services, and motivate the adult toward employment.
  • Maintain a base knowledge of employment services, contractors, and community services to meet the employment needs of the family, spanning various levels of employment readiness.
  • Assist with crisis and safety planning for individuals experiencing domestic violence, completing program eligibility, issuing grant payments if appropriate, and supporting resources and services within the community.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Three years of human services related experience (e.g., assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economic disadvantage, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing).
  • OR Associate's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field and two years of human services related experience.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in any field and one year of human services related experience.

  • Experience recognizing symptoms and behaviors arising from traumatic responses and commitment to minimizing re-traumatization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and engage with thoughtfulness and sensitivity, using culturally relevant strategies.
  • Experience applying lessons learned to varying environments and welcoming constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrated experience developing meaningful and inclusive relationships with colleagues that foster trust, collaboration, and respect.
  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment.
  • Ability to explain technical information verbally and in writing to individuals and groups unfamiliar with the subject or who communicate differently.
