Resident Director (Part-Time)

As a Part‑Time Resident Director, you will be vital to the daily management and function of UCC’s housing facilities. Resident Directors are live‑in staff who respond to immediate and ongoing needs and issues within the housing facilities. They assist with Operations and Facilities processes, complete on‑going inventory and health & safety inspections, manage Resident Assistants, and work closely with the Housing Coordinator.
Compensation- Furnished room/apartment with utilities and internet at no cost (valued at $13,200 annually).
- $1,500 stipend per term (paid at the end of each term).
- Benefits include practical knowledge of crisis intervention, event planning, goal setting, interpersonal communication, supervision, time and stress management skills.
- Overall yearly value: $19,200.
- Students must maintain at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
- Good disciplinary record.
- Must live in residential buildings.
- Time away subject to approval by Housing Coordinator, Director of Student and Community Services, and Title IX Coordinator.
- Adequate knowledge of college policies and procedures; ability to uphold college policy.
- Must be single residents and follow all housing policies; deviations considered case‑by‑case.
- Position is 19 hours per week, all hours tracked via Outlook Calendar.
- Ability to balance academic work, college activities, other employment, and residence hall responsibilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.

- Establish clear boundaries between housing staff and residents.

- One year experience as Resident Assistant preferred.
