Homeless Program Coordinator
The GS-13 Homeless Program Coordinator is a Social Worker in Social Work Service and provides supervisory and administrative oversight to a set of multidisciplinary community based homeless programs. This includes close coordination of administrative functions for the Housing and Urban Development VA Supportive Housing Program (HUD-VASH), the Grant Per Diem Program (GPD), the Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Program (HCHV), Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team (HPACT), and the Veterans Justice Outreach Program (VJO).
The GS 13 Homeless Program Coordinator is responsible for oversight of clinical performance measures pertaining to homeless Veterans that include Homeless Hotline, Homeless Clinical Reminders, Homeless Outreach Functions and Homeless Operation Management Evaluation System (HOMES) program. As the supervisor, the incumbent assists in planning, establishing, and implementing policies and procedures; developing individual or group goals and objectives as well as monitoring, operating, evaluating, coordinating and overseeing the staff of the assigned program.
The incumbent will ensure that staff whom they supervise are aware of and adhere to all current VHA directives, meet current Joint Commission Standards, state licensure standards, and VA OIG expectations. Case load duties may be assigned, depending on staffing levels, and health care system need.

Pay:
Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
Parental Leave:
After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy:
After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
