K - 12th Speech Language Pathologist
-Douglas Education Service District

Douglas Education Service District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Speech Language Pathologist for students grades Kindergarten through 12th. This position serves the schools of Douglas County, and the location of this position can be subject to change. 190 days per year, 5 days per week for the  school year.

SALARY: $63,333 - $89,195 per year (equivalent to $333.33- $469.45 per day or $41.67 - $58.68 per hour) Dependent upon relevant verifiable experience

JOB SUMMARY

Provide comprehensive assessment, therapy, and consultation services in the area of communication disorders.

DUTIES

  • Analyzes the effectiveness, appropriateness, and usefulness of strategies and practices used with students, parents, and staff.
  • Designs, implements, and supervises delivery of instructional programs to meet IEP/IFSP goals.
  • Participates as a member of a team (IEP/IFSP, Placement, etc.) and assumes appropriate roles; leads, follows, and supports others in a productive manner.
  • Assesses students' levels of functioning and their therapy needs.
  • Participates in development of IEP/IFSP for each eligible student.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a valid SLP license from the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology prior to the first day of employment, OR a Teachers Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) license that has an endorsement for either communication disorders or speech impairment.
