Project Engineer, Diver

Job Summary

• Performs field inspection and evaluation of structures under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Performs testing of materials and incorporates results into reports under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Prepares comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
• Actively participates in internal project meetings and works to resolve project issues.
• Actively promotes a safe work culture.
• Position may require up to 50% travel to project sites. Candidates should expect irregular schedules based on project demands, including early mornings, occasional weekends, and overnight travel.

• Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil, structural or ocean engineering from an accredited four‑year university.
• 0–4 years of engineering experience.
• Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• ADCI Commercial Diver or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Technical knowledge, experience, and capabilities in area of practice.
• Proficiency in computer‑assisted engineering and office software and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in the English language.
• Ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and effectively.
