MECHANICAL ENGINEER – FULL-TIME | ON-SITE | ROSEDALE, MDWe are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a full-time, on-site position in Rosedale, MD
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and machinery. This role requires strong AutoCAD expertise
, hands-on engineering experience, and end-to-end project involvement—from initial concept and research through execution and completion.
- Design, model, and develop machinery and mechanical systems using AutoCAD and other CAD software
- Lead and support engineering projects from concept through completion
- Perform research and development (R&D) to support product improvement and innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, operations, and quality
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of prototypes and final products
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in design and production
- Railway or railroad industry experience (strongly )
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or engineering roles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software
- A ready portfolio of work created using AutoCAD is required
- Strong understanding of machine design principles
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with materials selection, fabrication methods, and mechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
