Pre-Op & Phase II PACU Summary

• 28-bay Pre-Op Unit on 1st floor
• Phase II 1st floor
• Diverse surgical patients (general, ortho, abdominal, gynecology, urology, gender affirmation, oncology, neurovascular, ENT)
• Mostly adult patients and a little PEDs
• Excellent teamwork, fun, recognize/reward & high retention
• Part of our state-of-the-art surgical pavilion, which opened August 2020
• Ability to be cross-trained to Pre Op and PACU
• Magnet hospital

Available Roles

• Part Time Days - 32 hours per week
• Part Time Days - 24 hours per week

Schedule

• Part Time 32 hours per week: 4 eight-hour shifts varying Pre Op & Phase II with Call. Pre Op - 6a-1430; PACU 11-1930 or 930-1800. Limited call - average of 5 weekend call shifts per year.
• Part Time 24 hours per week: two 12-hour shifts plus call

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1 year of RN experience required; at least 2+ years of Critical Care, ED or Perioperative RN experience strongly preferred
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS preferred with PALS to earned within 6 months after start.
