Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Roseland, New Jersey on a contract basis. This part-time role requires 10-15 hours of work per week, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate workload changes. The position will last approximately two months and is fully onsite.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using Quick Books software.

- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely processing of payments and invoices.

- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Generate financial reports to support business decision-making and compliance.

- Collaborate with team members to address any bookkeeping-related concerns.

- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all transactions entered into the system.

- Prepare and organize financial documents for audits or reviews, as needed.

- Monitor cash flow and assist in tracking expenses effectively. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related role.

- Proficiency in Quick Books for managing financial records.

- Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.
