The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious General Accounting Senior Associate to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Roseland, NJ. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team.

This is an in-office position.
** Responsibilities:
*** Support platform general accounting activities, reconciliations, and recurring reporting
* Assist with month‐end close, including accruals, transaction review, and variance analysis
* Support platform‐level expense review and approvals in line with policy
* Oversee and support agency and client billing processes to ensure accuracy and consistency
* Research and resolve billing issues in partnership with billing and operations teams
* Prepare financial and operational reports for the Platform Finance Advisor and leadership
* Partner with office‐level teams to ensure accurate data capture and accounting treatment
* Support accounting standardization, process improvements, and platform initiatives
* Leverage AI and automation tools (e.g., Copilot) to streamline reporting and reconciliations
* Provide guidance and day‐to‐day support to junior team members
* Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects

* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 3–6 years of accounting, billing, or operational accounting experience, preferably in a multi‐location environment
* Strong knowledge of general ledger, expenses, and billing processes
* Proficiency in Excel; experience with financial systems preferred
* Familiarity with AI, automation, or Copilot strongly preferred
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
** Benefits:
*** Compensation: $80,000/yr.
