Brown & Brown is seeking an Insurance Operations Audit Associate to join our growing team in Roseland, NJ
. This role focuses on reviewing insurance operations best practices across retail and wholesale profit centers and ensuring compliance with our internal standards.
- Assist in reviewing all insurance operations best practices for Retail & Wholesale Profit Centers to verify compliance with Brown & Brown best practices.
- Complete all delegated work in preparation for reviews, including prior reports, procedures manuals, carrier ratings, exceptions, licensing, websites, and contracts with a high degree of accuracy.
- Document positive and negative findings in detailed notes during file reviews.
- Communicate findings and questions from review work with teammates and profit center staff.
- Escalate concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
- Assist with drafting and finalizing audit reports.
- Monitor and retest profit center action plans as needed.
- Build a foundational understanding of key insurance operations best practices.
- Link file review findings to potential risks to the company.
- Complete internal training modules, tasks, and webinars as instructed.
- Pursue professional development through educational designations in partnership with the Regional Director/Coordinator.
- Maintain individual expense reports and submit them to the Insurance Operations Regional Coordinator.
- Develop and maintain relationships with all disciplines of the Internal Operations Audit Team.
- Continue a program of professional development through completion of educational and departmental goals.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn new management systems.
- Research and analysis skills across various insurance products/coverages.
- Strong independent work ethic and teamwork capabilities.
- Effective communication with internal audit and profit center teammates.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
Annual: $65,000 - $70,000. The range reflects the role’s responsibilities and local market conditions.
