New Business Intake Specialist

Connell Foley LLP is seeking a New Business Intake (NBI) Specialist based out of our Roseland office. Qualified candidates should have experience in conflicts, legal intake, and matter maintenance. Familiarity with the Elite 3E and Intapp Open software products for this department’s workflow is essential.

Connell Foley LLP, a Roseland, NJ headquartered law firm, is seeking a new business intake (NBI) specialist based in that office. This position within the accounting department will be reporting to the Assistant Controller. Qualified candidates should have experience in conflicts, legal intake, and matter maintenance. Familiarity with the Elite 3E and Intapp Open software products for this workflow is essential to meeting the objectives for this position.

Therefore, experience with both software products would be a significant plus for those interested in the role.

Job functions include:

• Serving a pivotal role on the software implementation project (started in summer of 2026) to convert conflicts, intake and matter maintenance from Elite 3E to Intapp Open
• Handle all aspects of client and matter setup and related maintenance of that data
• Working very closely with the employees and attorneys of the firm on the conflicts clearance process, a necessary predicate to each matter intake
• Modifying billing rates in the system, including setting up rate sets
• Produce and review periodic NBI reporting
• Record NBI request forms in the document management system (iManage)
• Work closely with the billing, collections and cash applications personnel within the accounting department
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills; organized, detail-oriented, work well alone and as a member of a team. Should be able to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment

The level of salary for the position will be dictated by experience in this area of work and ability to utilize the systems and technology mentioned above which are so integral in meeting the requirements for this role.
